Printing on Wax Paper

Printing on Wax Paper really works!

I wanted to transfer printed words to glass, plastic, fabric and wood so I looked up instructions for wood and found it works for all of the above.

1.  Cut the wax paper to fit the printer (in this case 8.5 x 11).
2.  Put it in the paper tray and print.
3.  The wet ink is standing on top of the wax paper so carefully flip it over and press down.  On wood burnish with a spoon.  On slippery surfaces like glass gently lay it down so it doesn't smudge.
**Words and images will be backwards so flip them horizontally**

The Old Stone House Library

I asked my mother to make a custom gift as a special thanks to the ladies at the The Old Stone House Library for providing an amazing walking tour of Architecture in Fort Ann.  As usual, better than expected.  Introducing The Old Stone House Library made out of recycled cardboard.  Hand made with magic markers and colored pencils.

Giant Checks

Presented the plaque & checks tonight at the Holiday Concert.  I made extra large checks in Adobe Photoshop and printed them on the large format printer in the Tech Room.  It was like winning the lottery!

For size reference.  Don't want to include any faces without permission

Another Finalist from the Art Room

Today we have another finalist.  This time in an eSchool Data Contest.  The contest entries had to integrate STEAM.
The entries were from my Digital Photo Kaleidoscope Project.

The best part of this project is that even the most ordinary photo is transformed into a beautiful design with simple symmetry.

Microscopic Inspiration

Beauty can be found in the most unlikely places.  Drawing & Painting Students use microscopic images of deadly viruses as subject matter for acrylic paintings.  Each student chose something that had directly affected them or their families.
