Staff After Hours in the K-12 Art Room
Right at the top of the kiln. Beautiful creations by my colleagues. I compare opening the kiln to opening a present. Super excited, a little anxious and then joyful.
Tomorrow I will take a photo of the exceptional clay hand dishes the 7th graders made and then onto firing the 22 clay boxes Studio Foundation just finished. Busy kiln!

Nov. 1st Washington County Art Teacher PLC
Nov. 1st Washington County Art Teacher PLC
So fortunate to be a part of this wonderful group of teachers!
Blick sent us Luminous Fossil Lesson supplies. These photos were taken in the midst of production. Wish I had photos of the final products.
We also broke into grade level groups to discuss assessment. The examples that teachers brought were superlative. Our discussion was invaluable.
We built custom standards handbooks.
Took an in-depth look at Book Studies, Learning Walks, Lesson Studies, Accommodating IEP's, Creating a Toolkit, Classroom/Behavior Management.
Took an afternoon STEAM Bot Break to introduce (or review) the Design Thinking Process, Found Object Assemblage, Abstract Art and some whimsy.
