Onion Skin Paint - Painting at Home

Onion Skin Paint - Painting at Home
Red Onion Skin, Yellow Onion Skin and White Onion Skin.  Just place the skins in a bowl with a little water and microwave for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave for 1 more minute.  Remove the skin from the bowl and paint.  In the bowls the White looks yellow.  The yellow looks orange and the red - red.
However, as you paint the red is the darkest orange-brown. The Yellow is a lighter orange-brown and the White is a very light yellow.  Very delicate.
I was just experimenting/playing.  I'm sure you could find better recipes and tips on other websites.

Glue Salt & Food Coloring - Painting at Home

Glue Salt & Food Coloring - Painting at Home

This activity never gets old.  If you have the supplies at home I would make it a weekly project.

Coffee Painting - Painting at Home

Coffee Painting - Painting at Home
Have some fun painting with supplies commonly found at home.

I didn't have any instant coffee.  If you do, it is easier to use.  Just set up four or more cups/bowls.  Add a small amount of instant coffee to the first cup.  As you go onto the next just keep adding  more instant coffee.  Light to dark.

Drawing Scavenger Hunt for Home

Inspired by online scavenger hunts and riddles.  This little map was quickly put together for my students.  Even though they are home right now, there was already feedback: "It was fun"
