3 Ingredient Chalk Paint

3 Ingredient Chalk Paint

1/4 Cup Corn Starch

1/4 Cup Water

6 Drops of Food Coloring

This recipe works out well for a muffin tin.

Make a bigger batch by simply mixing 1 part water to 1 part Corn Starch.

Muffin Tin Recipe

1. Put 2 Tablespoons of water in each muffin cup

2.  Add food coloring

3.  Add 1/4 cup of Cornstarch

4. Stir

5.  Add remaining 2 Tablespoons of water

6. Stir

The trick to vivid colors is to continue stirring the mixture.  So, give it a quick stir with the brush before applying it to a surface.

Don't have a paved surface outside to use chalk paint?

Other ideas:  Rocks, paper.

If you paint on black paper it looks clear at first.

Just wait for it to dry

Use it as a diffused watercolor on paper

The bubbles continually pop in your face and for a surprising distance all around the container.

Inside - Highly recommend a table covering that you can wash or throw away.

Outside - Might get slippery or sticky.

  1 Tbsp non-toxic washable paint, 1 Tbsp water & 2 Tbsp dish soap mixed in a shallow container like a bowl or this recycled butter container.

Place a straw in the mixture and gently blow bubbles until they reach the top of the container.  Remove the straw and place a piece of paper on top of the container.
