There was a need for cards with space for quotes.  5 minute tangles that are ready for text and printing.

Bell Ringer High School Art History Timeline

Draw/Paint ends the year with an Art History Project.  They choose an artist or era to present to class.  So I have changed the bell-ringer to an Art History Timeline.  They follow a link to a time period, jot down key pieces of information and then quick sketch.

Pendulum Painting

Work for half the day, play for the rest.  Pendulum Painting for the first time at home.
*Tip - Thin and strain the paint (I bought a small mesh strainer at the dollar store) because one little glob stuck in the glue tip stops all the fun and getting a clog out is difficult.

  Madelyn came up with a genius idea for storing the paint and making clean up easier.  We set up three tripods and ended up using one.  They just switched out the paint when they wanted to change colors.

7th Grade Visual Art Bell Ringers

Working on Bell Ringers for 7th Grade in Google Slides.  Inferences based on pictures.  Below is one example out of 35 so far.

Honestly thought these would take up too much time and be a waste.  Truth is, students are seated and focused so much faster now that there is more project time.  Also, if the art speaks to them, they write the best comments and start great conversations.

Art Club Calendar

Art Club Calendar for the New Year!
Students Grades K-12 & Staff are Welcome.  2:30-3:25, Sign up outside of the Art Room.  First Come First Serve - 20 Seats per activity.  **Sign up for the late bus at lunch.** 

*Elementary students need a note from parents, a copy goes to the classroom teacher so they have a heads up.
