5 Minute Drawing of the Day

The 5 Minute Drawing of the Day is an Anchor.  The summer is flying by and curriculum work has begun.  Emails are stacking up.  The calendar is filling up.
Throw that anchor in!  Schedule another day trip!  Watch the Hummingbirds enjoy the Hosta Blossoms in the backyard!

5 Minute Drawing of the Day

The 5 Minute Drawing of the Day is Pierre. At the Slime Extravaganza a mom explained that her daughter had saved up for a guinea pig.  I  asked to see a photo and that is when I met Pierre.  The sweetest new pet for the sweetest of families!

Fantastic Friday

The estimated number of potential slime makers was 60.  Well, one shy of 70 showed up!  Loud Shout Out to the ladies from the Old Stone House Library & Historical Society for pushing up sleeves and helping to make this happen!  Also special thanks to the camp counselors and parents for pouring glue, cleaning up and more.  We had 3 gallons of glue to share among all the participants.  I said, "sharing is caring" and a parent said right back,
"teamwork is dream work."
I truly and sincerely mean it when I say that I LOVE my Fort Ann family!

5 Minute Drawing of the Day

The 5 Minute Drawing of the Day is for Karina.  Happy Birthday to a special person.  Also the only person I know that has a hedgehog as a pet!

SummerStudio 18 Visitors

Surprise! I had no idea that I would meet a Hot Wheels Engineer!
Bob Rosas was a Hot Wheels Engineer from '69 - '87.  His beautiful wife Carmin brought them to SS/LCAD in her Red Mustang.  She told me so many interesting things.  Highlights:  Bob is a veteran, he designed a motor home along with Larry Wood.  The orange GMC Motor Home has a very interesting story and is featured in the photo collage below.
My students are going to flip over this!  I know I did!

An Interesting Discovery

Home from the West Coast.  As usual sharing a quirky discovery.  Whilst in Laguna Beach California hair prep and products remained the same as every other day.  However, the end result was different.  It flipped out every day.  When I left California it was flipped out and by the time I was home it was flipped back under.
One of my new best-est friends from SummerStudio coined the term West Coast Hair.  Today's 5 minute drawing:

Summer Vacation Has Begun

Summer vacation has begun and tiny journals are being created out of the leftover scraps from the school year.  Not sure why making them brings joy.  No matter, just make!
