Five Minute Drawings

School Play 2017, The Little Mermaid

Low Poly Honey Bear

I followed the strawberry tutorial from the last post.  You truly do have to use a photo that is straight on.  My dog's head is always tipped a little.  So in order to use half the head I had to Transform > Warp to fit the two halves together.

Photoshop Tutorial Strawberry

Trying a few different things using a photo I took of a strawberry.  Hoping to get a deal on Strawberries for my students.  First a scribble mask.  Second a painting with added blur.  Third is my first attempt at Low Poly.  Fourth putting them side by side as a type of Graphic Illustration Study.

Tiny Planet Photoshop Tutorial

Tiny Planet Photoshop Tutorial.  This one is fun and easy!

Pin The Tail On The Mouse

My colleagues are very respectful.  There are never too many requests.   In the past 14 years I have only declined a few.  It is obvious how hard they work and the long hours they clock.  I am happy to be included in the amazing things they cook up for the kids. Whatever is given (time, supplies) comes back double in warmth, appreciation & more.
This mouse was made for a special event.  It was a challenge to draw a mouse from behind for a game of Pin the Tail on the Mouse.  The kids will appreciate it!

Photo Booth

Tonight is Semi-Formal.  The Yearbook has some empty space so I'm setting up a Photo Booth.  This is a first!  The shiny paper and the camera flash are going to clash but it will draw attention.  I may have gone a bit overboard with the props!

NAEA 2017 Visual Journals Workshop

I was so worried!  After all, the participants of this class were experienced Art Teachers, not kids.  Well, it was wonderful!  So thankful for the group that signed up.  I'm very lucky to have been in their company!  Of course afterwards I thought of all the other things I could have shared or talked about more in-depth.  Check out some of the awesome happenings below

A Thank You

NAEA 2017 Art Bot Workshop

What a fun time at the NAEA Conference!
Here is Workshop II
AFFORDABLE ART BOTS
This was the first time I had ever presented this workshop.  There were a lot of smiles. I am thankful for such a great group of participants!

I love the safety glasses that were purchased at the Fire Store.com for a dollar.  They are so stylish!

This young lady from Colorado attended both of my workshops.  I didn't make it to the Pop-Tart Cafe.  Hope you had the chance to walk around and decompress.
So many extension ideas from this participant on texture that I can't wait to try
