Awesome Co-Workers

Wow!  What a great team!  Co-Workers filled in where they could yesterday.  They just pitched in and read books, cut out rabbits, took photos, drew examples and played games. Thank you!

Art Games for Subs

For my day out there was no sub coverage.  So glad I left the Art Games for my amazing co-workers. Reports back included comments indicating students wanted to take them home to continue playing.  Some of my co-workers had a bit of fun too based on the photo below

Arcimboldo Inspired Dice Game

I use art dice games found on Pinterest for subs (which isn't very often).  Whoever invented them was clever!  I have been creating a few of my own with the possibility of Jury Duty in my future.  Here is an Arcimboldo Inspired Dice Game.  If you would like a copy let me know.

Very Talented Girl

Very Talented Student!  Took 2 of my 3 HS Electives and still drops in to draw.  Friday she gave me this gift leftover from a door decorating contest we had this week.  Thank you HC! I love this so much!

Studio Art Animals

There is always a large range of abilities in Studio Art Grades 9-12.  They can all find success with this project.

Large Format Charcoal Animal Drawing

Large Format Charcoal Animal Drawing
Grades 10,11,12 Draw/Paint Class
This was a challenge!  First students had to get a photo of their pet.  Some reported back that the pet would not sit still.  Then they were given a set area to draw in that was larger than the photo.  Students had to fill the space and also, stay within the space.  Many of the steps and the processes were a first and yet the results are awesome!  Some students would argue the awesome comment and some were more passionate about their pets than others.
